Zurich's Löwenbräu brewery, a leading contemporary arts destination, to launch renovation - galleries relocating to temporary quarters.
The historic Löwenbräu brewery building in Zurich, Switzerland, converted in 1996 into a thriving international contemporary art destination that is home to some of Europe's most admired non-profit institutions and galleries, has begun a major renovation in summer 2010. The building project will expand and upgrade the brewery building and create a new 11,600 sq meter landmark residential tower to rise above the galleries and museums of the complex.
The migros museum für gegenwartskunst, Hauser & Wirth, Galerie Bob van Orsouw, and Kunstgriff have opened to the public on September 24, 2010 at HUBERTUS EXHIBITIONS, on two floors of an industrial building in Zurich-Albisrieden, adjacent to the tramway's station Hubertus.
