- Art Education
With every exhibition, the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst offers workshops for school classes and groups of children or youths. In formats at appropriate levels, these enable school pupils to establish a link between art and their own everyday life, and to make art come alive. The interactive tour through the exhibition conveys knowledge, includes group tasks, and offers plenty of scope for questions. This is followed by a design-based section, in which the artistic themes are creatively put into practice by the pupils. Art education at the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst is both educational and fun.
The workshops are suitable for kindergartens, daycare centers, primary schools, secondary schools and vocational schools. We will very gladly adapt workshops to individual needs and curricula. This is a cost-free offer for all schools in Switzerland and abroad. For school classes from the canton of Zurich, we provide the workshops in cooperation with schule&kultur, whereby the schools benefit from reduced ZVV public transport fares. The workshops are run by the museum's art educator, Cynthia Gavranic.
