Performance Abolibibelo (2015) of Jimmy Robert (free admission)

Conjuring up ghosts that may be more ancient than the ones from Bauhaus, the performance of Jimmy Robert weaves elements of masquerade, dance, music, and poetry in an attempt to find new paths through our modernist heritage by rearranging seemingly disparate elements and asking the question: “how emotionally charged and expressive is our globalized present?”

In recent years, Jimmy Robert (b. 1975, Guadeloupe, France) has exhibited and performed at MOMA (New York), MCA (Chicago), Berlin Biennale of Contemporary Art (Berlin), Tate Britain (London), Jeu de Paume (Paris) and at WIELS (Brussels). Jimmy Robert was the 2009 laureate of the Follow Fluxus–After Fluxus grant.
