Costa Vece (*1969, lives in Zurich) works close to reality. In dense juxtapositions of art and life, his installations always have an exciting impact. Usually using simple and emphatically base materials, Vece operates with a kind of merchandise recycling, frequently using elements that normally serve as means of packaging or transport rather than products in their own right: cardboard boxes, pallets, chocolate paper, oil drums and other containers. With video images collected along the way, trenchant sound tracks and more or less complicated lighting effects, the artist breathes new life into these structures.
