In his lecture, Jens Andermann talks about installations and performance actions in Latin American contemporary art, where landscapes and iconographies from nature are incorporated in a critical or subversive manner.

Jens Andermann is professor of Latin American Cultural Studies at the University of Zurich. He studied Latin American languages and literatures, comparative literature, and North American studies at the Freie Universität of Berlin before teaching Latin American and Luso-Brazilian studies at Birkbeck College, University of London. Publications include New Argentine and Brazilian Cinema: Reality Effects (2013) and Images of Power: Iconography, Culture and the State in Latin America (2003).
