Urban-Think Tank in collaboration with MOON Kyungwon & JEON Joonho, Mobile Agora (Mothership), 2015, Courtesy of Urban-Think Tank (ETH Zurich) and Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst

15.10.2015, 18:00

The City as Mobile Agora presented by Urban-Think Tank
(free admission, in English)

With Alfredo Brillembourg (U-TT), Hubert Klumpner (U-TT), Daniel Schwartz (U-TT), Diego Cersuela (U-TT), Marcel Aubert (BLOCK Research Group, ETH Zurich), Nils Havelka (Nils Havelka Verlag)

The forum explores the physical limitations of contemporary architecture and argues for a shift in emphasis from form-driven to purpose-oriented social design. The question is how architecture can function as a process in which the outcome is realized with the active participation of users and inhabitants.

Urban-Think Tank is an interdisciplinary design practice dedicated to high-level research and design on a variety of subjects concerned with contemporary architecture and urbanism. In 1998, Alfredo Brillembourg and Hubert Klumpner founded U-TT in Caracas, VZ. Currently they direct the Urban-Think Tank Chair at ETH Zurich within the Department of Architecture.
